This article and instructional videos are about false color and why I like it better than waveform or zebras. Our setup is with our beautiful model Monette Moio lit with two 400Q Celebs for the key light and one Kino Flo 400 Celeb DMX. We have the key light diffused with some half grid, and for our fill light we have another Kino Flo 400 Celeb bouncing into a Lowe’s 4’x8’ insulation board. There’s also a practical and a Kino Flo 200 Celeb in the back room to create some texture in the background. I’m first going to go into how I like to set my false color for overexposed lighting situations. After that, I’ll explain how I like my false color for underexposed lighting.
