Delivering Storytelling Impact with Light, Lens and Camera
Character emotions are everything when you want to connect with an audience and transport them to an arena that can make them laugh, cry, scream and feel fear. Shane Hurlbut, ASC will do a case study on Crazy/Beautiful, which was a film that changed the way he made movies.
- Breaking down the script with interdepartmental collaboration to deliver the emotions of the script; incorporating lighting, lensing and camera dynamics.
- Turning the frame that the audience sees on screen is done in multiple stages. Camera placement, camera choice and lens specification play a major role in developing the mood, tone and power of the cinematic image.
- The take away is an understanding of a more streamlined way to deliver one vision, one voice, one sound!!
I hope you will sign up and catch my video presentation, which will also include a surprise bonus! Other participants include: Frankie Demarko (“Mad Men”, “All is Lost”, “Margin Call”), Kevin Shahinian – Pacific Pictures, Rasmus Heise (Oscar Winning Short Film “Helium”, Sony, Coca-Cola), Matthew Santo (Nike, Google, Reebok and more), Stefan Borbely (BMW, Ford, Lexus), David Vollrath (“Lincoln”, “Sprite”.
