In the second installment of the SIC Member Series Podcast, I sat down with Shanes Inner Circle member Lindsay Taylor Jackson, an awesome director of photography based out of Boston, Massachusetts.
Lindsay was recently selected by the American Film Institute to take part in the first ever Cinematography Introductory Intensive for Women (CIIW). A tuition-free program sponsored by the American Society of Cinematographers, as well as 21st Century Fox.
She has recently wrapped production on the independent feature documentary “Velvet Citizen,” where she spent 3 years in a small village in the Czech Republic. It tells the story of a man who built a boat by hand in his backyard for 40 years under a communist reign. She served as Director, Producer, and Director of Photography of the film.
In our discussion, we delve into the virtue of patience in filmmaking, how her early experiences on set (both good and bad) that shaped her career for years to come, as well as offering advice to fellow women in the film industry.
With Stephen Lighthill & her classmates in the Cinematography Introductory Intensive for Women
